Subtitle Generator

Ready for transcription
Generate subtitles from a recording
Subtitle generation recognizes speech and aligns text with time ranges. It is different from downloading an existing subtitle track. Select a supported audio or video file locally, then continue the generation workflow in Genooi.
SRT and VTT require valid timing
A plain transcript is not automatically a subtitle file. Timed exports must include valid start and end points for every cue. Review wording and timing before using subtitles in a video editor or player.
Existing subtitle tracks
If the public source already provides captions, Subtitle Downloader can retrieve the available track without starting new speech recognition. New subtitle generation requires Genooi sign-in and its actual transcription options.
Create subtitle files from a spoken recording
- Start with an audio or video recording that contains clear speech. Decide whether you need newly recognized words or a caption track that already exists on a public source. Generating captions and retrieving an existing track are different operations.
- Choose the recording locally and click Submit. Subtitle generation has no anonymous guest allowance; the prompt lets you continue in Genooi with an account. Select the file again there and review the available language, limits and quote before requesting processing.
- Review both wording and timing in the completed result. Export SRT or VTT only when real timed segments are available, then test the file with your video in the destination player or editor. A plain transcript cannot become synchronized subtitles merely by changing its filename.
SRT, VTT and subtitles burned into a video
SRT is commonly accepted by editors and players; VTT is used for web text tracks. Both store cue text with timing. Burning captions into frames is a separate rendering step and is not provided by this MoiMobi page. Neither export is automatically a translation of the spoken language.
Check the version before checking the sync
A subtitle file prepared for one edit can drift against another cut of the same recording. Test the opening, a middle passage and the ending. Correct names, missing words and timing before publishing; speech recognition is not a substitute for an accessibility or editorial review.
Subtitle Generator FAQs
How do I generate subtitles for a video that has none?
Choose a supported audio or video recording for a local format check, then continue to Subtitle Generator in Genooi. New speech recognition and timed subtitle generation happen there after sign-in, not anonymously on MoiMobi.
Should I generate subtitles or download an existing caption track?
If a supported public video already exposes usable captions, download that track instead of starting a new transcription job. Generate subtitles when no suitable track exists or when you need a new transcript from your own recording. Always review the words and timing before publishing.
What is the difference between SRT and VTT subtitle files?
Both formats store text cues with start and end times. SRT is widely used in editing and subtitle workflows, while WebVTT is designed for web media text tracks. Choose the format accepted by your destination player or editor; neither file is a video with captions permanently drawn into it.
Will generating a subtitle file burn the captions into my video?
A timed subtitle file and a rendered video are different outputs. This MoiMobi page does not burn text into video frames or render a captioned video. Use a player or editor that supports your subtitle file, and verify the available outputs in Genooi before processing.
Can subtitle generation promise perfect wording and synchronization?
No. Noise, accents, overlapping speakers, and pauses can affect recognition and cue boundaries. Check names, punctuation, line breaks, and timing against playback before using generated subtitles. Language options and any processing quote are shown in Genooi.
