Ready for transcription

Upload and processing take place in Genooi after sign-in. Account limits and any transcription quote are shown there.

Your file stays here. Select it again in Genooi; it is not transferred automatically.

Camera clips and QuickTime recordings

MOV containers are common in camera exports and QuickTime workflows. A spoken soundtrack is needed for a speech transcript. This tool does not read visible text from frames or invent captions for silent footage.

MOV compatibility is checked in stages

The local picker checks the .mov extension and video/quicktime media type when supplied. A MOV container can hold different codecs, so passing this filename check does not guarantee processing compatibility.

Continue without exposing the file

Open the corresponding MOV tool in Genooi to sign in, choose the original file, and review processing options. MoiMobi does not upload or automatically transfer your selection. Public-link captions can instead be extracted with Video to Text.

MOV to Text FAQs

Can I transcribe a MOV recorded on an iPhone or camera?

A non-empty MOV with an accepted QuickTime media type can pass the local format check. Continue to MOV to Text in Genooi and select the recording again for processing. Camera source and file extension alone do not guarantee a supported audio codec.

Must I convert MOV to MP4 before getting a transcript?

The MOV selector does not require an MP4 conversion. Keep the original and try the supported workflow in Genooi first. If that service reports an unsupported encoding, use its actual error to choose a compatible export; merely renaming .mov to .mp4 is not conversion.

Can a silent MOV or a screen recording produce spoken text?

A spoken transcript needs an audible speech track. A silent MOV, or a screen recording with microphone and system audio disabled, has no speech to recognize. Visible words and burned-in captions are not read by this audio transcription workflow.

Will this page upload a large MOV when I select it?

No. MoiMobi displays the locally selected name and size but sends no video bytes to the backend. The external link does not attach the file either. Review Genooi upload limits and select the MOV again there when you are ready.

Can I compress a MOV with the MoiMobi video compressor?

The current compressor accepts supported H.264 MP4 files, not MOV containers. MOV transcription and MP4 compression are separate workflows. If you need a smaller video, first export a genuinely compatible MP4 using your recording or editing application.
