Video Thumbnail Downloader
Preview and save the cover image a public video actually provides.
Source thumbnails, not video screenshots
This tool retrieves the cover image supplied by the source. It does not decode the video to capture arbitrary frames or create a new thumbnail. If no eligible cover is available, no substitute image is generated.
Original image format and size
The existing thumbnail relay validates JPEG, PNG, or WebP responses and enforces its size limit. Preview dimensions and download format reflect the returned image. Resolution cannot exceed the available source thumbnail.
Respect the image rights
A publicly viewable cover is not automatically licensed for reuse. Save only images you are permitted to download, and check the rights before publishing them elsewhere. Private sources and YouTube links are not supported here.
Video Thumbnail Downloader FAQs
How do I save the cover image of a public video?
Paste a supported public video link and let the service locate its cover image. MoiMobi validates the returned image before enabling download and shows its actual dimensions. If no usable cover is returned, there is no replacement image to download.
Why is the downloaded thumbnail smaller than the video resolution?
A video cover is a separate image asset, so its dimensions need not match the video. MoiMobi saves the image supplied by the source without creating an HD version or upscaling it. The dimensions shown in the result describe the available cover, not the video frames.
Which image format will my video thumbnail use?
The cover relay accepts validated JPEG, PNG, or WebP images. The saved extension follows the actual returned image type rather than forcing every cover to JPG. A missing, expired, invalid, or oversized image response is reported instead of being saved as a broken picture.
Can I choose a frame from the video as a new thumbnail?
No. This tool downloads the source cover; it does not load a local video, capture a frame, or create a custom thumbnail. If the source cover differs from the frame you want, use a separate video editor rather than expecting a frame selector here.
Can I reuse a downloaded thumbnail in my own content?
Being able to save a public image does not establish permission to reuse it. Prefer your own artwork or content you have permission to use, and check the applicable source terms. This tool retrieves an image; it does not grant a license or remove ownership rights.
